An Evening with Fr. Seraphim Aldea

November 1, 2023

We are blessed to have Father Seraphim Aldea from the Monastery of All Celtic Saints, which is the first Orthodox Monastery in the Isles of Scotland in over a thousand years, visiting our parish and celebrating Paraklesis with us on November 9. All are welcome to attend the service and to stay afterwards to hear about the resurgence of Orthodox Christianity in the British Isles from Father Seraphim.

Tonsured as a monk in 2005 at Rasca Monastery in Bucovine, North Moldavia, Father Seraphim has a Ph.D. in Modern Theology from the University of Durham (UK) for a thesis on Archimandrite Sophrony Sakharov's Ecclesiology. He is currently a Post-doctoral Research Fellow at the School of Theology, Oxford University, while working to found the first Orthodox monastery in the Hebrides in over a millennium.
