HOPE, JOY, Jr. & Sr. GOYA
Our mission is to provide opportunities and a loving environment where our youth can experience their Orthodox faith through worship, witness, fellowship, and service, to strengthen their relationship with Christ.
FAITH FUN FELLOWSHIP
HOPE, JOY and GOYA strengthen the relationship of young Orthodox Christians with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The program works to educate and edify young members of the Church, encouraging them to become active sacramental participants in the life of the Body of Christ. This ministry offers them the opportunity to experience the Faith, ultimately leading them to Salvation.
HOPE (Holy Orthodox Primary Education) is for PreK-1st graders to learn the basics of Orthodoxy in a safe space. PreK-1st graders learn to feel comfortable, yet reverent in the Church, while meeting their peers.
JOY (Junior Orthodox Youth) is a ministry to strengthen the relationship of young Orthodox Christians (2nd-5th graders) with one another and with Christ.
GOYA (Greek Orthodox Youth of America) serves two age groups: Junior GOYA (6-8th) and Senior GOYA (9-12th). GOYA has been structured to provide a safe space and opportunity for all youth to discuss how and why to live an Orthodox life in this day and age.
Senior GOYA has its own board comprised of elected Sr. GOYAns who meet and plan monthly events which align with the GOYA ministry mission.
Each of our Youth Ministries meet at least once a month, in addition to participating in the many family events within the parish, and the Metropolis of San Francisco regional events. We also hold some events which encompass all youth age groups.
For information about all of our youth ministry groups, contact Father Niko Bekris at firstname.lastname@example.org.
